This legume has a big historica tradition. It has been cultivated since old age. Annual plant. It can be sown in Autumn in places where Winter is not very freezing, or in Spring, sowing in January-February to avoid premature dryness problems. Unit investment: 350-400 seeds/mq. High nutritive value. Proteins contained can reach 30%. Full of vitamins, especially B group and Iron.

 

STREAKED EGGPLANT TSAKONIKI

lavandaErect plant of good vigor. Elongated fruits with striped color. Sowing in seedbed from February to March with transplant 40-50 days. Distance between the rows: 70-80 cm. Distance on the row: 40-50 cm.

COLORED SWISSCHARD MIX

lavandaColored swiss chard mix, rich in mineral salts and vitamins, different colors make them very attractive. Because of its soft taste children often like it more than spinach. Sowing in open field from Spring to Autumn, broadcasted or in row. Distance between the rows: 30-40 cm. Distance on the row: 15 cm.

CELERIAC OF VERONA SEL. RS

lavandaCeleriac is a typical root vegetable, as celery it contains very little calories. Its flavor make it suitable for recipes where it is used as main ingredient. Celeric is used for salad, but it is also good as a cooked side dish. It can be baked, pan-fried with few oil, fried with abundant oil, rolled or “au gratin”. It can be also used for soups. Distance between the rows: 50-60 cm. Distance on the row: 20 cm with density of 8-10 plants/mq.

WHITE MUSTARD

lavandaSowing in Autumn to the South, in Spring to the North. Harvest: late Spring to the South, Autumn to the North. This plant is easy to cultivate, very appreciate in cooking, young leaves are used to make salads tasty and flavour. Seeds are used to prepare the cream for side dishes. The seeds are unscented and flavourless until the shredding and water soaking. Then they release their biting and intense aroma and spicy flavor. Distance between the rows: 30 cm. Distance on the row: 15-20 cm, depth 0,5 cm. Germinates in more or less 10 days.

SPINACH OF NEW ZEALAND TETRAGONIA

lavandaPlants love warmth, so it is perfect for Summer’s cultivation in our enviroments, unlike the real spinach that suffer in hot atmospheric conditions. Suitable for any terrain, provided that it has enough humidity available. Plant full of smooth leaves, wavy, pointed triangular, thick, fleshy, with dark green color. It has to be cut off at petiole. Late. First leaves can be harvested more or less after 70 days from sowing. Sowing: from March to September. Harvest: from May to October. Distance between the rows: 50-60 cm. Distance on the row: 45-55 cm.

PUMPKIN MOSQUEE DE PROVENCE SEL. RS

lavandaThe fruit is round and flattened with marked ribs, beige skin, medium-big size, orange sweet and tasty pulp. Long-life product. The edible part is made of the fruit pulp and seeds. Fruit’s pulp can be used for potato dumplings, risotto, tortelli, ravioli or to make up soup, cream, velvet sauce; Seeds are excellent when toasted or traditionally salted and dried. It can be eaten stew or fried or it can be an ingredient for dessert, cakes, jams and pickled fruit. Sowing: from April to June, in open field. Early in seedbed. Distance between the rows: 1,5-2 m. Distance on the row: 1-1,15 m.

ZUCCHINI CUSTARD WHITE SEL. RS

Fruits with a particular shape. Attractive, curious and captivating. Excellent flavor. Rustic plant with a great resistance to main diseases. They don’t germinate if the soil’s temperature isn’t around 20°. Sowing: indoor from February – March, 2-3 seeds for each pot for early harvest. In open field from April, 3-4 seeds for each hole. Distance between the rows: 100 cm. Distance on the row: 60-70 cm.

ZUCCHINI WRINKLED YELLOW SEL. RS

lavandaEntangling color and shape, gooseneck shaped with yellow wrinkled surface, pleasant taste suitable for risotto, fried, raw in salad. Sowing: open field in Spring and Summer. It doesn’t tolerate low temperature. Distance between the rows: 100 cm. Distance on the row: 50-60 cm.
